Y3 enjoyed the sunshine as they worked on their times tables by playing the circle and ring game. The centre circle scored them 8, the ring scored them 4 and outside the hoop scored them 3. They had to use their times table and addition knowledge to work out their totals.
Y3 carried out an investigation in Science. They looked at different materials and sorted them into transparent, translucent and opaque by shining a torch at them and looking at the shadow created.
This week’s blog homework is to write super sentences about the tiny dragon.
Where is it from? Why is it so small? Are there more like him?Where does he live? How will you look after it? Will you keep it a secret or tell someone? What is it called? Is it magic? What magic can it do?
I like to imagine that it is a really small dragon which you can keep in your pocket but, when you need it to, it can grow huge so that you can ride it.
We enjoyed using the magnets to investigate whether all metals were magnetic. We found out that they weren’t all magnetic, only some, such as iron, nickel and cobalt.
Y3 are making their own animal inspired wall hanging in DT. Stage 1 was to create a 3 part painting of animal skin and animal eyes with transfer paint. This will be transferred onto poly cotton with a heat press. Everyone worked extremely hard, well done!
